Adopt-a-Classroom
According to the National Head Start Association, Head Start has helped more than 32 million children and their families prepare for school and for life. Head Start offers a unique whole child/whole family program design coupled with a delivery system that includes local programs, national standards, monitoring, professional development, and family engagement.
Community individuals, groups and/or organizations looking to provide support to the children we serve within our agency are encouraged to participate by adopting a classroom. Within Sioux City, we operate 23 classrooms that provide a high quality, developmentally appropriate preschool experience to more than 400 children each year. Classrooms are continually in need of a basic materials for the children - art supplies, books, games, puzzles and other developmentally appropriate items.
